First event off the year.
 Lancashire rescue bears held its first event of the year last weekend a one day draft workshop which is also a introduction to draft draining for those that have never done it before.  This is Daisey and it was her very first time with a cart and she loved it.  This is ripple pulling a sled for the first time ,she was a little nervous at first but soon got the hang of it and moved on to a cart.  After everyone had had a go at hitching up and doing some basic maneuvers Jude led them of on a one hour haul ,everyone had a great time even us as we stayed over and had a camp fire and a few beers .You can see more of what LRB get up to at www.lancashirerescuebears.com  This may look strange but this exercise is to let the handlers feel what the dog has to pull and it helps them understand how the dogs feel pulling there carts over obstacles.

Wonderful pics! And I think it's a great idea for the handlers to pull carts so they can see/feel what the newfs do.
